Intrigue #2

Coachella!!! Among other must go to before you die music festivals, is a gathering of young to not so young people embracing and engulfing themselves fully into the religious experience that is live music. It is amazing how uplifting a good music festival can be to the human spirit. Looking at photos of music festivals of the past you cannot help but notice the almost euphoric look in the people’s eyes. Dare I say music is a religion? I say this for the simple fact that it encompasses every shred of happiness, sadness, curiosity, self loathing, self deprecating, and love we possess in the human experience, music festival are the church that feeds the masses. Of course many attribute the joyful atmosphere at music festivals to the attendee’s indulgence into music festival’s holy sacraments, weed, alcohol, and psychedelics. But this is not true for a lot of people that attend. It is Intriguing to see people just get high off of music. Having a bad day, pour yourself a couple of glasses of The Killers or get a quick buzz smoking on a little Damian Marley.
May Music be with you :)

Intrigue #1

Sitting here thinking about what I should write for my inaugural blog while watching ‘Seinfeld’ and it hits me like a ton of bricks on a Monday. Good comedy is timeless. Seinfeld among other shows are as funny today as they were back in the day ( I’m 24 so Seinfeld is a retro show in my book) After pondering this over a glass of wine, I was intrigued by the question of What makes something, anything worthy of being timeless? When Picasso was creating in a cramped apartment in Paris while his friend, the poet Max Jacobs, was writing did he know that the energy of his thoughts transported onto a canvas, would out live him and would be pondered and praised for many lifetimes over?

Intrigue of the Day: What is that common thread that transforms brilliance into timeless appreciation?
